SATURDAY MORNING

FARMERS MARKET

On a wet & cold Dunedin day, my first stop today was to get my usual stash of apples  for the week from John, my favourite stall holder.  I laughed when I saw a  soft toy on top of  the bags of apples.  I asked him who it belonged to and was it a wolf or fox?   He told me it was a German Shepherd! , and that is looked  like his dog he used to have.

His Daughter (who was there at the time selling the apples) gave him a ribbing and said her children gave it to Grand dad after his hip operation years ago…

It was well loved, matted and worn out.  I pretended to take it home for a week and return it next Saturday, the banter was  ONE of the highlights of my day.

I took the camera in my bag, in preparation for my afternoon Wedding.  To my delight I spotted heaps of Peony Roses for sale:
